<p class="p_Normal" style="line-height: 1.80; margin: 0 0 0 22px;">The Maya-specific features, like MEL and python code execution, context menu preview, and 3D view are not available in standalone mode.</p>
<p class="p_Normal" style="line-height: 1.80; margin: 0 0 0 22px;">But most of the time during the design process, you are dealing with graphic creation, editing, and links. That is when the standalone mode will come in handy, it will keep all the Maya-related data.</p>
